Charles - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:00
YESSSSSSSSS!!! Can't wait to sit back on the couch and play this on my Shield TV!

Duke - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:00
A M A Z I N G ! !
However, since I have already played quite a bit on the PC version, I was wondering if there is a way to sync the progress between multiple devices (perhaps with some hacks coping saving files manually).

Thanks guys

Robert Megone - Oct 10, 2017 at 14:56
The savegames are stored in '/data/user/0/com.terribletoybox.thimbleweedparkandroid/files/' on Android.

They should be fully compatible with desktop saves but you will need root access to get to that folder.

Critical error - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:01
Could not find OBB file?

On my Samsung Galaxy S8 :-(

Ron Gilbert - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:17
Android is really weird with it's permissions to access files like the obb file. Rebooting your device fixes this.

addee - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:28
Had the same issue. Maybe you could mention this for people who do not read the blog / forums.

Thank you for the game and for pirting it to Android!

Ron Gilbert - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:21
Can you contact me via the contact form? I'd like to ask you some questions.

Paul Jacobson - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:04
Awesome!! time for a break now? ;)

Patrick Paquet - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:07
Congrats. I might consider buying a second time. I need to replay this to enjoy the new Arcade and lines of dialog !

Mattias Cedervall - Oct 10, 2017 at 12:08
I still think that Data is the best android, Ron! :-)

Mattias Cedervall - Oct 10, 2017 at 16:20
That's because he's a bad guy. I think that B-4 might be a good guy.

Jeff Horner - Oct 10, 2017 at 13:06
Went through the work of supporting controllers but aren't supporting shield TV / android TV :( this game would have been wonderful on an nvidia shield

Ron Gilbert - Oct 10, 2017 at 13:11
Give it time. There is only so much we can do without delaying everything.

xrmnx - Oct 10, 2017 at 14:04
I hope, it's ok posting this but since it requires buying the game anyways I figured, it should be:
If you install the game on a smartphone or tablet first, you can easily sideload it to the Shield using ES file explorer or a similar app. After sideloading you'll need to copy the Thimbleweed Park folder from Android/obb to the Shield, too. Since it doesn't show up on the home screen you'll need to open the game either from settings or from an app like sideload launcher. Not the easiest way to install a game, but if you've ever sideloaded an app before, it won't be a problem and it's worth the hassle. The game itself works like a charm on the Shield.

urielz - Oct 10, 2017 at 13:26
congrats! about to buy it now.

Arvejeitor - Oct 10, 2017 at 13:28
Can't wait to buy it again!

urielz - Oct 10, 2017 at 13:28
downloading... :)

albadross - Oct 10, 2017 at 14:19
Can anyone please tell me the location of the Android savegames?

Robert Megone - Oct 10, 2017 at 14:37
The savegames are stored in '/data/user/0/com.terribletoybox.thimbleweedparkandroid/files/'

It's unlikely that you will be able to access this folder without root access.

albadross - Oct 10, 2017 at 18:44
Which is unfortunate, because you cannot backup and copy your savegames as is possible on the Linux version of Thim-Park, where they are stored in '.local/share/Terrible Toybox/Thimbleweed Park/'. Shucks!

Fourpwood - Oct 10, 2017 at 14:24
Purchased. Will download it overnight. Thank you Ron!

Antonio Mazzanti - Oct 10, 2017 at 15:19
Thanks Ron, backed and purchased again and again and again.. :)

Pablo - Oct 10, 2017 at 17:13
I'm waiting the ATV compatibility to play it on my Shield, but I like to know if the spanish used is from Spain only or is there a latin american version too? Thanks.

Ron Gilbert - Oct 10, 2017 at 17:19
The Shield version will be coming in a week or so. The Spanish is Spain Spanish.

Juanjo - Oct 11, 2017 at 10:23
I can say the translation to spanish is perfect. Nothing sounds funny or out of place...

I have the Switch version. Years from enjoying so much with a game. Thank you very much!

Jeff Horner - Oct 19, 2017 at 14:53
Ron let's do this!

Marco - Oct 11, 2017 at 00:50
Great to have it on my phone and tablet now too. But I really really hope the next update has cloud savegames and/or a way to copy my PC savegames to my Android device without root access.

Matthias - Oct 11, 2017 at 03:12
Is it possible to have the settings and saved games synced across devices?

jack smith - Oct 11, 2017 at 04:54

Stefan K - Oct 11, 2017 at 05:59
Will there be a Fire-TV compatible / a version distributed via Amazon? Playing TP on my TV would be cool ;)

ThOMas - Oct 11, 2017 at 09:58
I can finally play it in bed before I go to sleep. Thanks :)

Piper - Oct 11, 2017 at 16:33
Congratulations! That's good!

SimTec - Oct 12, 2017 at 03:08
It's great to have been apart of this project :)

irishmom - Oct 12, 2017 at 04:11
Since i dont use the PC that often for gaming nowadays I was realy waiting for this one! And it was really worth waiting! Works nice on a Galsxy 10.1 Note 2014. Only issue i have so far is that long dialoge text (answers) extend the screen and thus are somtimes unreadable in parts.

Ron Gilbert - Oct 12, 2017 at 09:38
Hold your finger on them and they will scroll. We had to increase the text size for the small screens,

Juan from Spain - Oct 12, 2017 at 04:27
Hey, you know what would be awesome? a message from Ron Gilbert saying "Juan, looks behind you, a three-headed dead man" (it would be perfect to print it and hang it in my room :))

Carlo Valenti - Oct 12, 2017 at 16:33
AWESOME!

Miguel - Oct 13, 2017 at 10:23
I think it's about time for a new podcast with the team to know how you guys have lived through these intense months. :o)

Jon - Oct 15, 2017 at 16:19
There's a typo in the title :)

Hej Ron.
I hope you enjoy your vacation and have a lot of fun.
Your photos in the grumpygamer.com-weblog look interesting. When you're back may you name the board games you show in the vacation post?
I love board games, so any new idea is welcome.
Many thanks in advance!

iorek - Dec 22, 2017 at 19:43
Another italian, who HAS to comment on his eternal gratitude to Mr. Gilbert. Especially after the Android version release.
Mr. Gilbert, you are to me like a brother, a best friend, a three-headed monkey.

chris - Jan 26, 2018 at 09:37
Another request for save game sync, would love to play on my phone when I don't have my tablet. Apart from that I absolutely love the game, brings back so many memories of playing your other classic adventures.
