These are constantly fascinating & entertaining.
I look forward to them each week.
Thank you SO MUCH for the trouble you guys go to in having them published!!

Ron .. I'm a little surprised you don't carry some sort of transportable computing/communications device and/or a papery thing and pointy stick combination with which to take some notes on the bus, instead of having to rush home to do it :-P

Ron Gilbert - Sep 12, 2015 at 11:20
My theory is that if I can't remember it, it probably wasn't that good an idea.

urielz - Sep 12, 2015 at 13:39
clever answer

Mattias Cedervall - Sep 12, 2015 at 16:00
No.

Mattias Cedervall - Sep 12, 2015 at 15:58
I think your theory is wrong, Ron! I guess you've heard about the band Queen and one of their songs called "Under pressure"? The opening bass line is famous and was later used in a song by Vanilla Ice. The bass player John came up with the bass line and forgot it, but luckily the drummer Roger remembered it and told him. Otherwise the bass line wouldn't be on those songs.

Estranged2 - Sep 12, 2015 at 19:10
Stephen King follows the same principle. However, as I read through my old design ideas I find some really good ones that I have completely forgotten. People usually remember things that affect them emotionally one way or another. Not all good ideas can do that directly.

Hi Guys,

Do you think once this is done that you would build more adventure games in the system you are building now or would you start over?

=P

Sushi - Sep 12, 2015 at 06:44
That background noise at around 3:20, 3:40, 4:00 and at some other times? Sounds like the budget being spent. That, or just Ron playing with a lot of pieces o' eight (aka the budget)
:P

Lovely post-end tune stuff, as always!

Ron Gilbert - Sep 12, 2015 at 11:21
That's my puppy playing with a giant stuff corn.

Bogdan Barbu - Sep 13, 2015 at 08:08
Does it have a pulley in the middle?

Mattias Cedervall - Sep 12, 2015 at 16:02
I like your comment, Sushi-san! :-)

Natalija - Sep 12, 2015 at 07:07
Hahahahahah.. sitting on the deck with his toilet...

Natalija - Sep 12, 2015 at 07:09
I'm so excited that you're gonna use those monkey island tipe dialogs.. I always loved them.

Mattias Cedervall - Sep 12, 2015 at 09:10
Ron, I bought the game for 25 dollars via PayPal and now I wish to change that so I can buy the game for 35 dollars and get the sound track. Will it be possible to change? I'm not a Kickstarter backer because I didn't know about your campaign.

Mattias Cedervall - Sep 12, 2015 at 15:52
I guess not. :-(

Paulup - Sep 12, 2015 at 10:27
Gary: "...highlight of my week"

I'm gonna name this kind of sarcasm "Thimbleweed Snark (TM)"

Patrik Spacek - Sep 12, 2015 at 10:50
I cant wait to see all Mark's artworks....exciting. Then I am also curious about Gary's animations, hopefully soon some 30s long video of playable final version?!  :o)  just a little tease, would be good...

urielz - Sep 12, 2015 at 13:44
Thanks again for another great podcast. I really like the question/answer theme, please keep on doing that Ron. And since this is a question that can also be answered by backers, here's mine: I'm excited about the game (of course), but what I'm most excited about is the possibility of this one being the first of many games created by this team. A comeback of true point & click adventure games would be a dream come true.

Jammet - Sep 12, 2015 at 14:22
Me and a few others would really like to up our pledge, meaning, back the game some more, :) so we could later probably have a signed boxed copy of the game as well as the voice recording we already have.
Yeah, so just like Gary said - at the risk of sounding like a broken record, is there a way to up our pledge? :)

Jammet - Sep 12, 2015 at 14:29
Oh, and the reason I'm repeating is, I kinda forgot -- I did not use kickstarter, I used paypal :). No credit card. I hope you can figure something out, that would be awesome!

Ron Gilbert - Sep 12, 2015 at 15:23
We're trying to figure out a good way for people to up their pledges. I thought we had a good solution, but it ended up being too costly and overly complex for people to figure out.  Stay tuned. We have top people on it. Well... me...

Mattias Cedervall - Sep 12, 2015 at 17:18
In my case it would be easy because I simply need an option to buy the sound track for 10 dollars.

Patrik Spacek - Sep 13, 2015 at 11:36
Does the pledges has option for different devices game versions?  Let say, I dont wanna get PC version, I wanna pledge for Xbox or PS4 version only...

Bogdan Barbu - Sep 13, 2015 at 13:24
As far as consoles go, only an Xbox One port is planned. If they do decide to port Thimbleweed Park to another console, it won't be for at least three months after the release, since Microsoft has exclusivity.

Ron Gilbert - Sep 13, 2015 at 13:24
The pledges are only for the Mac, Windows and Linus version (you get all there).  Microsoft doesn't have a way for us to give away keys for a pledged version, so it's not possible.

mr. T - Sep 13, 2015 at 16:01
I wonder if Thimbleweed Park Podcast is gonna get all rowdy and wild now, since turning 21. Or perhaps settle down for a more simple, quiet life and have kids...

Geoff Paulsen - Sep 14, 2015 at 06:17
Back in "Quicky Pal" update from July 16th, you mentioned possibly getting Mark to do a blog entry on his process.  I'd LOVE to read that blog entry someday.
Keep on truckin!

Mattias Cedervall - Sep 14, 2015 at 12:26
Me too!

Lucas - Sep 18, 2015 at 14:56
Ask Microsoft what you need, they must give  it to you.
