Excellent! :-) Thank you very much! Did Ron forget to sign with his name again?

Gins - Apr 29, 2015 at 04:48
Yey! It was my dream all my life to get email from Ron Gilbert!

"All email addresses are xor'd with 0x69 while in our database for optimum security."

HAHAHA!
Made my day ;-D

Flowo1974 - Apr 29, 2015 at 08:49
I don't get it, sorry...

Franklin - Apr 29, 2015 at 09:47
The old Lucas games data files were xor'd with 0x69 for hacker protection.

good one xD

Hi Ron,

having a mailing list is a great idea, thanks! I'd suggest to rename the email from "Welcome to ThimbleMail™" to "Confirm your subscription to ThimbleMail".

I was about to immediately archive the confirmation mail when I actually figured that I still had to confirm the subscription by clicking on the link!

Best,

Alex

Excellent idea. FIXED!

Patrik Spacek - Apr 29, 2015 at 10:32
because I like Ron, Gary and David....   I signed up :o)

Christopher Griffin - Apr 29, 2015 at 12:03
Is this some bandwidth saving measure?  Now your metrics are going to tank, and you won't be able to convince the C-levels that... oh, never mind, you guys broke free of the tyranny!

Excellent idea!  Glad I thought of it and didn't say anything to anyone, until you coincidentally thought of the same thing and implemented it.  Win-win!

Geoff Paulsen - Apr 29, 2015 at 13:12
Well, I suppose it's a bit late now, but I wanted to let other's know of the Chrome Browser extension called "Page Monitor".  I was using that to monitor whenever Ron would update this blog.

That being said, I love RSS, and thank you for setting that up.

Ian / Nihil Quest - Apr 29, 2015 at 16:59
I actually asked for this some time ago, so I feel obliged to say thanks.

Dan - Apr 29, 2015 at 18:29
Hey, thanks! I signed up, too, of course.
You're absolutely right with the first paragraph! I had actually tried to give RSS a chance, but my stupid browser threw a monkey wrench in the works for whatever reason. Anyway I have had enough of RSS.

What about adding a ThimbleMail™ tab at the top of the page (albeit it could become a little narrow up there beside the "RSS")?

B. Bernouili - Apr 30, 2015 at 14:52
When I click RSS, my iPad just adds thimbleweed to podcasts... I looked for an rss app, but you have to register and blah blah blah. Is there anyone out there who could be so nice to explain how to set up an rss reader properly? I want to give that a try before resorting to the mail list (meaning clicking every hour to see if there's an Thimbleweed mail)

Thx!

Mattias Cedervall - May 05, 2015 at 06:26
Ron, I think there's an "h" missing in the word "as" in this sentence: The Thimbleweed Park developement blog as been updated!
Shouldn't it be "The Thimbleweed Park developement blog has been updated!" in the ThimbleMail™ Update? There's also an
superfluous "e" in "developement" that should be "development". I'm sorry but I have nothing better to do now (that I care to
admit).

Typing regards, Grammar Commie :P

Just don't get rid of RSS now! As a Feedly user this is way more convenient than emails.

Ron Gilbert - May 07, 2015 at 09:31
NEVER! I love RSS.

Hm I didn't get any emails since the last couple of updates. Anyone else?

Ron Gilbert - May 27, 2015 at 08:49
Can you contact me using the contact link and let me know the email address you signed up with. I'll check it out.

Daniel Martinez - Nov 24, 2015 at 17:33
I'm just an old school graphyc adventure fan from Spain :)

Patricio Martinotti - Jan 17, 2016 at 09:47
Hello again Ron! Please tell me the moment it will be available, the physical  format  of the game.

I want  to  purchase  it  with  box, manual, stickers, etc.
I hope the box's same size of the old ones!

Best regards. Patricio.

Bogdan Barbu - Jul 06, 2016 at 11:56
The game itself will only be available as a digital download. The box will only contain a manual and some other goodies.

Volker Eschweiler - Apr 07, 2016 at 08:21
I played all your adventure games since "Labyrinth: The Computer Game" (wow, I`m old...).
I looked for a way to copy the Zak McKracken's files that included the gas for the chainsaw to the Maniac Mansion disk and combine them somehow (although I never managed it...).
Looking forward to Thimbleweed Park.

Jonas Thibout - May 08, 2016 at 03:58
Hope there will be a t-shirt: "I supported Thimbleweedpark and all I had was that lousy T-Shirt" :)

Thanks for creating all those games! Monkey Island I & II gave me so much fun!

wizzel - Feb 07, 2017 at 05:25
You need to offer more T-Shirts in the store. The existing design isn't enough. We need the Characters on the shirts, too!
And please offer Boris' Scumm Bar Shirt. ;)

Andi - Feb 27, 2017 at 07:18
Hi, I am very excited for the game and look it up every day if it is released already... well, not anymore. Sometime in begin/mid January, you (Ron) wrote something like "very very soon", then in the first days of february you wrote "really super super soon" or similar and it is still not released. I can understand the hard work which is required to complete this game, but please don't say "really super super soon", if it is still 1-3 months away. If you write: 2-6 months, it is super fine with me and I think I also speak for others, because I know, that I don't have to check the blog or twitter every day.

Thanks!

Zak Phoenix McKracken - Feb 27, 2017 at 08:01
He wrote they are very very very very very very very very (breath) very very very very close to announce the release date.

Nor Treblig - Feb 27, 2017 at 17:06
Fret no more! The release date was released! Wohooo.
