This was a busy year since Thimbleweed launched, and I'm still translating... Thimbleweed! And a bunch of games with NDA, so check my website from time to time to see my current list of translated games. From the latest projects I can recall Sol 705, an adventure game by Patricio Land which is free everywhere and actually a demo. I also occasionally write for Kanobu.ru, a Russian video game site — you'll be surprised, but my latest piece was about Thimbleweed Russian localisation, its ups and downs, and how it's a great game, and if you're Russian — buy it and see for yourself.

I'm still working a bit on Thimbleweed Park: supporting sales, checking social media and responding to support emails. Mostly, I'm working on an Edible Game Cookbook. That's real-world tabletop games where you eat real-world food as you play the game. I'm working on a series of games that I can put together into a cookbook with recipes and rules for playing. I'm hoping to Kickstart it this year. You can find out more and subscribe to my newsletter here: ediblegames.com

What was your favourite area of the game?

What was your favourite puzzle in the game?
It's very difficult to choose just one puzzle. I remember I really liked the puzzle chain during Delores' flashback - I got a bit stuck the first time I played the game, but all I needed to do was stop and think about the possible solutions. I loved how logical it was in the end. No obscure "randomly combine this with that until something happens".

What are you working on now?
Well, let's say I'm planning to practice some game development. But it's very early to say anything more about this hobby project of mine. I'm also still involved in Thimbleweed Park-related work (as a community manager most of the time, and as a tester when the need arises). Working on this game has been a blast. And who knows what the future brings. Hopefully more great game projects I could participate in.

What's the best way people can follow you and find out more about your work?
I'm not really an active social media user at the moment.

Awesome Blog Post. Especially for the "where are they now" section.

It's great to know how the team is doing, but a bit sad that none of them seem to be working on Thimbleweed Park 2 or The Secret of Monkey Island Next...

This team made an amazing game and I would love to see them do more of it...

Cheers and happy birthday!

Mattias Cedervall - Mar 30, 2018 at 17:20
Jenn, that's excellent news and it was fantastic to finally read the interviews! ^_^

Oregondanne - Mar 30, 2018 at 17:21
Revolution is making a new game?! Is it Beneath a Steel Sky 2? Or, please please, Broken Sword 6 (Am I the only one who thought The Serpent's Curse was the best in the series?).

Frans - Mar 31, 2018 at 05:55
I had trouble getting over the UX with its lack of keyboard support. Last year the 20th anniversary update added keyboard/controller support (only touted as controller support, see my own blog post about it here;), but I haven't picked it back up yet.

Based on the little bit I played (got out of the initial room but not much beyond) it certainly showed a lot more potential than 3/4. Talk about getting over the interface. :)

On the topic of the blog post, pity the soundtrack isn't included in the sale.

Nor Treblig - Mar 31, 2018 at 13:07
Improved keyboard support? Interesting, didn't know anything about such changes!

Paul - Mar 31, 2018 at 09:04
"There will also be a one-year anniversary podcast on Monday."

Yes! I'm hoping it will be the start of a "Yearly Stand-Up Meeting Podcast", where you discuss what you did last year and what you will be doing next year...
